PEP adds web tools to enhance our service
21 September 2009
The PEP Partnership LLP has started to use a suite of new web-based tools to increase the visibility and breadth of its services to prospective and existing clients.
The first of these tools is iPadio, a phone-to-web broadcast service that allows users to broadcast live onto the internet from anywhere using the phone.
"Our first application of iPadio has been to give audio feedback to readers of our website on what we've been doing, as well as to pose questions which they may wish to respond to or comment on", explained Bill Blakemore, who has been trialling the new service. "People visiting our website can see this for themselves by visiting the "Our Point of View" menu item."
Bill heads abroad to train African civil servants
14 August 2009
Bill spent two weeks in Dubai in August running training courses on behalf of Global Training Consulting Ltd. Trainees included officials from several Nigerian federal government ministries and parastatals (agencies).
Bill covered a range of subjects on his courses included comparative legislative processes, and contract and project management.
The Dubai trip followed on from a ten day visit to Tanzania in July to run similar courses with officials from the power and water sector.
Commenting on the Dubai trip Bill said "This was my first visit to the United Arab Emirates and it was fascinating to see Dubai City after hearing so much about it. Dubai has been badly hit by the downturn and locals complained that things were very quiet. But my impression is that there is still considerable wealth and opportunity in Dubai, if the activity in the shopping malls and on the highways is anything to go by. The delegates certainly enjoyed the location, despite the heat - it was in the mid-40's Centigrade most of the time I was away."
